Afnan is a designer whose mission is to create long-term, positive change for those in our society who are often overlooked or misunderstood. She believes in listening deeply to the stories of those we're designing for and communicating these experiences to the right people in a way that is compelling and actionable.

Afnan has experience working in both the private and the public sector. Her most recent work, Westpac NZ Access to Banking in Aotearoa was released in April and received much media attention.

Afnan holds a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) majoring in Engineering and Innovation Management. She is part of the team at ThinkPlace, helping to deliver some of the Innovation Skills workshops at Festival for the Future 2023.
