Florence Van Dyke

Head of Sustainability at New Zealand Trade & Enterprise, and Co-founder of Chia Sisters – Aotearoa’s first solar powered beverage company.


Florence is the Head of Sustainability at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) – the government agency charged with helping New Zealand businesses to grow internationally. She has an exciting new role supporting New Zealand’s export businesses to prioritise and develop sustainability strategies. 

She is an Edmund Hillary Fellow, and was named on the Forbes 30 Under 30 List for recognition of her work in business and climate change. A lawyer by training, Florence previously working at Bell Gully and for the United Nations. Last year Florence returned to New Zealand from San Francisco where she graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a Masters of Laws focused on business and climate change. 

Florence co-founded Chia Sisters, a health beverage company supplying cafes and supermarkets nationally and in Australia, Hong Kong and the US. Chia Sisters is a solar-powered, Zero Carbon and B Corp certified company. She is also a Trustee and Co-Founder of Businesses for Climate Action.
