Melissa Wragge

A world-leading system-design strategist and applied innovation expert, passionate about learning from nature.

Melissa is the Founder and CEO of Tensegrity and the rə://gen method. She is one of the world’s leading system-based design strategists, first schooled in the 1990s before Design Thinking was a thing. She has spent 25+ years leading business transformation - in strategy, innovation and redesigning business models – from blue-chip corporates, banks and retail giants to SMEs, NGOs, Councils and start-ups. Not as a management consultant or academic, but as a practitioner in the arena.

The last 14 years Melissa has played on the regenerative ‘bright side’ helping businesses disrupt their world for good - environmentally, socially, and ethically.  Most recognised and awarded for taking Ecostore from hippy-fringe to mainstream cool, she believes in business as a force for good.

The last 10 years, Melissa has been training execs and entrepreneurs, so she spent lock downs downloading IP, curating models and synthesising it all into a training method, to help disruptors re/design their world, re/generatively.  The result is the rə://gen method.

Melissa teaches Masters students in applied innovation at Tech Futures Lab in Auckland, is a business coach at The Icehouse, an alumni of NZTE’s Better By Design program and an advisory board member on a few NZ regenerative businesses.  She also guest lectures at Auckland University for MBA students in circular design, market shaping disruption and ecosystem thinking.  Melissa is an accredited NZ Regional Business Partner Network service provider and is currently undertaking an international Masters in Biomimicry.
