Sam Stubbs

CEO of Simplicity – non-profit KiwiSaver with $4B in funds under management, which has donated $4M to charity.


Sam Stubbs is the Founder and Managing Director of Simplicity, NZ’s fastest growing fund manager. Simplicity is a non-profit KiwiSaver Scheme with over $4B in funds under management, and gives 15% of all fees to charity, and invests with a conscience. In 2021, Simplicity was picked by the government to be one of New Zealand’s default Kiwisaver providers, and has now gifted more than $4M to great Kiwi causes.

Previous to starting Simplicity, Sam was the CEO of Tower Investments. His CV also includes a gig as Managing Director of Hanover Group, and employment at  Goldman Sachs in London and Hong Kong,  NatWest Markets, Fay, Richwhite and IBM.

Sam has an MA (Hons) in Politics from the University of Auckland. Sam is a father of four children, and has no time for any hobbies! He dreams of Simplicity and sailing around the world.
